Workshop Greek Bellydancing
For whom
Open level workshop. For dancers interested in experiencing the Greek bellydance style.
Content
Tsifteteli, considered the Greek style of bellydance, is a solo dance form which engages the hips, torso, arms and hands in undulations and accents. Tsifteleli is a happy, uplifting style, both sensual and explosive. In this workshop we will focus on authentic Tsifteleli but also play with a fusion of Ancient Greek motifs and Tsifteteli vocabulary.
Teacher
Sara Toscano is a certified dance teacher by the SKVR school in Rotterdam. She teaches different belly dance styles through body awareness, storytelling and the use of new educational methods. Sara is constantly active in learning ancient oriental rituals and the latest belly dance moves as well as developing original exercises to make students understand and enjoy the richness of this dance. Her teaching also includes performing techniques based on her experience as a solo dancer and as a member of the celebrated Baladi dance group.
